In Panama, the rank-size rule is not proven because the largest city, Panama City is disproportionally larger than the other cities in this country and is also the economic, political, and social hub of Panama. Although the second city is 1/2 the size of the largest city, the others are disproportionally smaller and therefore you can conclude that Panama does not follow rank-size rule.
